Bodega Bay
Last-minute trips are so fun, and this quick jaunt to Bodega Bay the weekend before July 4th this year was no exception. Hons planned our stay at the Bodega Bay Lodge, and it was the perfect little retreat for our family. We knew we wanted to take some maternity and family photos on this trip, so my ever-talented Hons shot these beautiful photos of us. I’m so grateful for him!
We played at the beaches, saw marine life, explored cute towns by the coast, and enjoyed the resort. We also wanted to watch fireworks because trying to do that in SF typically means seeing lit-up fog. Well, I’m here to report that Bodega Bay is just as foggy during that time of year (surprise, surprise). But that didn’t stop us from having fun and eating great food!
We ended our trip by driving along the coast and making a couple of foodie pit stops before heading home. The Marshall Store is a must if you enjoy oysters prepared any and every way. And stopping by the adorable town of Point Reyes will never disappoint. Oh, and definitely try the buffalo milk soft serve at their local market!
We’re about to welcome our newest baby, and this sweet little trip with our girls will always be special to us. It was the summer before we became a family of five!
